Ecomotion profiles
Anyone can make a profile on Ecomotion for work, play, or either. Everybody has a role to play in the world's future, from grass roots organisations to global corporations. We want to give them all a space, a voice, and a means to communicate what they are doing in terms of sustainability. There are 2 different profile formats available at sign up - one for individuals wanting to create a personal profile, and one for users signing up on behalf of their work or profession.
Personal
Personal profiles are light blue. Create a personal profile to connect with people, in your area and beyond, that are keen to get something off the ground whether it be a street party, exhibition, film or even a new business. Use your personal profile to:
•Organise your work and social life around exciting sustainable events using the Ecomotion Diary.
•Create and plan your own projects, events and socials using My Diary, which is linked to the national diary allowing you to store dates and publicize your own.
•Join or start your own Ecomotion Groups to rally support for a particular issue or cause, or simply to connect with like-minded people you may want to collaborate with in the future.
•Search the Ecomotion Directory which lists thousands of ethical businesses and services nationwide, helping you get the best out of your area.
•Visit the Ecomotion Media Centre for the latest news, blogs from the green world. You can submit your own pieces, or feeds to your own blog as a great way to spread the word.
•The Ecomotion Gallery showcases the best professional and user artistic submissions including image, film, audio and writing.
Work
Work profiles are dark blue. Ecomotion allows you to create a profile where you are able to showcase your green and ethical credentials in a neutral space, opening up a dialogue between you, the public, and other businesses. It is a great place for you to receive support, feedback and comments about the work you do in the green arena, as well as the ability to collaborate with and support local projects or professional sustainable innovations. Use your professional profile to
•Publish or create ethical and social calendar dates including member projects, campaigns, public events, existing campaigns and projects, related exhibitions, conferences and entertainment
•Encourage staff and supporters to create and join Ecomotion Groups which rally support for a particular issue or cause, or simply to connect with like-minded people you may want to collaborate with in the future.
•Ecomotion Hubs allow organisations to systemise their membership groups, customise their pages and generate revenue by selling advertising space
•Ecomotion Media is a place to feed and learn about news and blogs, as well as an online gallery for images, documents, audio, film and audio files. A great way to share information and creativity.
Directory
Directory profiles are Green. Ecomotion supports, sign posts and connects. We bring together green businesses, charities, shops, venues, and services giving them a platform to showcase their sustainable practice, and communicate with you. If you hold any of our approved certifying stamps then you are eligible for a listing. If not, don't worry - have a read through our directory principles. If you think you could be a match then please start by filling out the work profile sign-up form. You will be able to start using your work profile straight away but please bear with us while we check your details for our directory. If you are successful, your profile will be changed to a green directory profile. If not, we will be able to give you tips and advice on subsequent steps you might wish to take that would help you secure a spot. Either way, we will keep in touch with progress.
